• Conduct field assessment on hygiene practices of the community at initial stage of project and for monitoring purposes through relevant methods
• Promote and facilitate the community to form VWSC, formulate VWS agreement and translate it into action plan
• Prepare with VWSC setting up simple management of fund, water facilities maintenance and active campaign for hygiene practices through using local resources
• Assist in training preparation of PHAST for VWSC
• Participate in PHAST training and other relevant training required for field implementation
• Active in contributing ideas and initiative to improve hygiene promotion techniques
• Write biweekly narrative report for the Community Program Assistant

Requirements:

• Having at least 1 2 years experience working in community development / health area
• Good in English writing, speaking, reading
• Knowing participatory approach in working with villagers
• Wants to spend most of his/her time in the village
• Having knowledge and experience working with community
• Know basic principle of participatory approach
• Hold S1 degree in social science background with NGO experience is preferable
• Computer literate, especially Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

• Support PMI Aceh Jaya branch to develop and implement expansion plans in Sampoiniet and Jaya sub district , organizetask assignment within team for expansion
• Providing ongoing on- and off-site technical assistance to PMI and American Red Cross staff
• Assisting sites in implementing the program through on-site coaching, mentoring, trouble-shooting
• Providing training and supervision in all components of management, program and administrative procedures
• Creating a continual system of feedback, sharing and quality improvement of program interventions
• Accessing and/or developing resources for program use e.g., manuals, how-to Instructions, exemplars, etc.
• Liaison and networking with local GOs and NGOs; and
• Technical Assistance to PMI to develop strategic partnerships to institutionalize PSP

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Sociology or MD in Psychiatry
• Minimum 3 years experience in managing programs, community development work, past experience in Psychosocial support programming is preferred
• Ability to train and manage staff
• Excellent relational, administrative, written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in English written and spoken
• Proficiency in computers especially MS office
• Ability to take initiative, think creatively and work collaboratively
