Responsibilities:

• Software Test Engineer (TED)
• The candidate will be part of the Motorola iDEN Mobile Devices and be responsible for test design, execution as well as test application development to verify and validate software for Motorola mobile products. The candidate must be technically aware, savvy, and competent in their technical/functional field of expertise. Uses technical knowledge to utilize available resources effectively and drive innovation.
• Job Requirements:
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Self-motivated and Self-starter, results oriented team player who is willing to work extra hours if necessary.
• Good command of English.
• Professional programming/software development experience is mandatory.
• Good Java Programming skills. Programming skills in C/C++ and UNIX scripting will be an added advantage.
• Experience/exposure to Software Test environment, and Software Test Methodology.
• Knowledge of J2ME. Knowledge of other technologies for mobile devices such as Windows CE, Palm OS and Symbian will be an added advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field. Fresh graduates with excellent results will be considered.
• Knowledge in Windows Programming, HTML, JSP, Servlets, CMM/CMMI/other Quality Models, ClearQuest/other Configuration Management Tools will be an advantage.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): Testing, Java and C/C++.
• Preferred skill(s): UNIX scripting.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Penang,Malaysia.
• Applicants should be Malaysian, Singaporean, Filipino, Indian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Hardware or equivalent.
